Adventuring With Ayesha

Last night Ayesha and I left school and headed to Wholesale Fashion Shoes, this great new shoe store where all shoes are $9.88! I actually bought a pair of flip flops too that were only $5.88 too. It is at 44th Street & Thomas but is worth the trip!

Next we had a quick and fun dinner at the bar of Postino's. If you have never eaten bruschetta at Postino's you MUST put it on your to do list!

Finally we headed to Frances to take a cool finger knitting class. Francis is a super cool place to take a class they set up small tables all cute with colorful table cloths and serve wine, cheese, and cute cookies. It was so cute. I guess I should mention that this is the only art class that I have ever taken that didn't involve paint or fire so that could have something to do with the cute set up but I would definitely take a class at Francis again!

I didn't really understand the whole fingerkniting thing (I was jus trying crazy knots) until the last 5 minutes of class so I brought my scarf home to finish with more time. I promised our teacher I would be happier if I had time to finish at home as opposed to having a super thin scarf. Of course in true Jeane style I could not move on to anything else until I was finished. :) I do love the way it turned out and can't wait for it to get out of the 90's (Yes, in November) so I can wear it! Please excuse the cheesy self-inflicted photo. :)

Don't Faint Folks

I have finally added an update to my school blog! I posted an overview of what we have been learning last night and I have a post scheduled for each grade level one grade a day. If you are interested be sure to check it out here! FYI my personal blog links to my school blog but my school blog does not link to my personal blog. You know my blog is not scandalous or anything but no need to advertise my personal life. If they are crafty they know how to find me. :)

Also wanted to mention that my Christmas Journal was mentioned in the current issue of Cloth Paper Scissors Muse Flash on page 16. If you get a chance check it out.

The best part is that my journal arrived home safely yesterday! I don't know if I love my Christmas Journal or my Halloween Journal more! I am glad it is home. :)

Mid-week Already???

When My Alarm went off today I sat straight up in bed and thought why is my alarm set on the weekend? When I actually came too and realized it was only Wednesday I was less than thrilled. :) Why are some weeks so much longer than others?

I Hit The Halloween Lottery!

Jim usually works 12 hours on the 31st of each month so I joke that I miss all the good holidays (Halloween, New Years and my birthday. :) If the 31 falls on a Saturday he works late on Friday instead so this year I won the Halloween lottery and it was actually the first Halloween that we were actually together!

After spooky dinner/lunch Ayesha went for a pedicure. When I got home Jim was ready to get out of the house so asked if I wanted to go to bet the dogs. Last year I got exactly 5 trick or treaters and it was 6 and we couldn't see one kid out in our part of the neighborhood so we headed out. I picked my dogs and won $71 on the first race! I was thrilled the Halloween lottery struck twice in one day!

Still more journal pages!

P.S. Happy Dia De los Muertos!
